My
Story

I am a lived-experience trauma-informed psychotherapist. I know how it feels to struggle with mental health and I have dedicated many years to finding a way forward - and I now share this with my clients. My blogs will explain more about my story, my ideas and feelings around certain topics and my knowledge. I have a specific passion in working with those suffering from abuse, BPD, narcissism, family issues, trauma/triggers/PTSD, attachment issues, adverse childhood experiences and relationship dynamics. I work in my own unique and pluralistic way - meaning I adapt my sessions to fit every individual clients needs using collaboration, a vast toolbox and intuitive guidance.

Do you find that your brain just won’t switch off? Do you feel down on yourself or feel as though you just cannot get motivated? Can you see repeated patterns that affect your relationships and how you view life? Do you feel that no matter how much you try and change these patterns the same things happen again? Let me help you. I get it and I have dedicated the last decade and more to understanding why this happens and how to gain control back. Happiness and peace is something you may feel is out of reach - it isn't. You have the tools within you to ride the waves of the rough seas - you just need someone beside you whilst you navigate that.

I use a mind-body approach which means that we really sit with the effect that stress and trauma can have on our whole system. Our thoughts can trick us - our nervous system can’t. By combining the two we can process in a way that acknowledges and explores all of your experiences, both cognitive and somatic. So, it isn't just 'talking' - it's discovering who you truly are on a deep level and finding a way to move forward and develop the resilience and determination that is within you!

I am a qualified, experienced and insured psychotherapist, and I dedicate my time to continual professional development. I work with anyone aged 16+. If you are affected by anything that is causing you distress, sadness, low mood, suicidal thoughts, depression, or anxiety - please get in touch.

I have ADHD and experience of working with others with neurodivergence and I understand how this may impact your ability to engage in a therapeutic setting.

If you feel that you are in an abusive relationship, I can support you with this, please do not feel alone. Recognizing that you need support is the first step. A brave step. I can help you with the practicalities/signpost you if required - and therapeutically support you through this.
